The campaign to elect new Republican party leadership in Summit County took a big turn this week when the New Summit Republicans and the National Precinct Alliance became partners for change.The NPA is a national organization that locates, educates, and encourages individuals to run for local Precinct Committee positions. The goal is to create parties and governments that will adhere to the constitutional principles of limited government, free markets, and individual freedoms.
The NPA believes that all too often, political parties consolidate their power and keep ordinary citizens from becoming empowered and representing the wishes of the people residing in their neighborhoods. The group has been recruiting citizens to run for precinct committees around the nation in an effort to break up the good old boy stranglehold on the political process.
